We reserve the right to add, amend or delete information from this site at any time. You are advised to contact us for verification should you wish to rely on any information.

Privacy statement

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998)
We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your order and secondly, to provide you with the best possible service.

We will give you the chance to refuse any marketing email from us or from another trader in the future.

The type of information we will collect about you includes:

  • address
  • phone number
  • email address
  • credit/debit card details

We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent.

The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly.

The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law.

If we intend to transfer your information outside the EEA (European Economic Area) we will always obtain your consent first.

We may use technology to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to our site. This can include using a "cookie" which would be stored on your browser. You can usually modify your browser to prevent this happening. The information collected in this way can be used to identify you unless you modify your browser settings.

Customer Discounts/Offers

Wheelies offer a range of benefits to previous customers and promotional offers to both new and existing customers, these offers are not valid for items purchased as part of an insurance replacement. The following rules apply to website offers, promotions and existing customer benefits:

  • Discounts are ONLY redeemable for purchases made on this website (wheeliesdirect.co.uk)
  • Discounts are only valid until the date published.
  • We reserve the right to end any website offers and promotions at any time including prior to the advertised end date without notice.

In some cases we are not able to discount the products offered by certain brands and manufacturers (for example, Specialized). We are sorry but in such cases we have to stick to the full retail price. If you have any questions relating to such products please contact our team on 01792 583 000

IMPORTANT: We try very hard to ensure that all information on this site is accurate. However, just occasionally, an error can occur. If we discover an error in the price or description of a product you have ordered, we may cancel your order at any time up to the point we send the product(s) to you. We will contact you where we become aware of an error and ask you whether you wish to continue with your order at the correct price or cancel it. If we do cancel your order you will receive a full refund of any charges paid in advance.

Existing customer benefits

Where you use a valid promotional code we have issued in conjunction with your purchase, the following additional terms and conditions apply:

  • Discounts will only be available on order values over the amount stated in the offer.
  • Only one Discount may be used per customer per transaction.
  • Existing customer benefits cannot be used in conjunction with website offers and promotions.
  • Customer benefits do not guarantee a discount on all products in your basket and the benefit applied will be the best we can offer up to the level of your benefit.

Website offers and promotions

Wheelies may run multiple promotions at any given time. Each promotion will be subject to its own rules which must be met in order to be redeemed in the checkout. In addition to the individual promotion rules the following rules also apply:

  • Website offers and promotions cannot be used in conjunction with existing customer benefits.
  • Where a customer is eligible for customer benefits and has a website offer or promotion in the basket, the higher of the two offers will apply.

As a company we have several divisions of the business, we are in the process of differentiating the insurance division from our mail order section. As a result of this we now have two separate websites.

The guidelines set out for validating insurance replacements are that all replacements are of like for like quality to the item/s lost and the costs are based on manufacturers suggested retail prices not sale or discounted prices.

The insurance replacement website www.wheeliesdirect.co.uk is tailored to comply with these guidelines and all prices advertised are manufacturers suggested retail prices.

All goods replaced as part of an insurance claim are sold at manufacturers suggested retail prices, however if you have exceeded the funds available towards the replacement any shortfall will be subject to the applicable discount as agreed by your insurance company. All prices on the Mail order website are not subject to any further discounting.

Returns

At Wheelies we guarantee to only send you quality products and we inspect everything thoroughly before we send our goods out to make sure they're in perfect condition. We also carefully package and protect everything so that it doesn't get damaged on its way. However, should you need to return an item, here is what you can do:

How do I return an unwanted item?

Wheelies want customers to be satisfied every time they shop. However, if you are unhappy for any reason with your purchase, simply return your product(s) to us in their original, resaleable condition, and securely packaged. Please fill in and enclose our returns form to help us process your return as quickly as possible.

Everything on the site is free delivery as standard (i.e. we pay for it to get you). You will need to pay for the item(s) to travel back to us if we're to refund/exchange for you. Please include the returns form to let us know the reason for the return and who it's from, and remember to obtain proof of dispatch as we cannot be held responsible for goods lost or damaged in transit.

We shall issue a full refund less any postage paid (for express delivery etc.) and any refund charges imposed by your credit card company. You will be responsible for the returned product(s) until they reach us. All good(s) must be returned complete, unused and in the same prime condition as received, together with the original box and packaging in an undamaged and resaleable condition. No refund can be issued until the good(s) have been received and inspected by us.

If we sent you something you hadn't ordered, you need to notify us within 7 working days and you can return the item within 30 working days unused and in its original packaging and you will not be charged. Please fill in and enclose our returns form to help us process your return as quickly as possible. We'll refund postage costs up to a maximum of £25. Please contact us if your return exceeds this amount.

How can I cancel an order?

Cancellations can only be accepted by e-mailing info@wheeliesdirect.co.uk. If the order has been completed and has been shipped, then a return will need to be arranged. This will be easier by telephone, therefore please include a daytime telephone number with your e-mail. Your account will be credited once the product(s) arrive back at Wheelies.

My product has arrived faulty or damaged. What do I do?

We try our best to ensure items arrive in good condition. In the rare event of a problem with your delivery, please either do not accept delivery or sign for the item as "damaged", or "unchecked" if you do not have the opportunity to inspect on delivery. You must inform us (info@wheeliesdirect.co.uk) of any such problems within 7 working days. We can then take the best course of action for you and the particular item. Please note that proof of purchase is required with all potential warranty claims. If you return something due to it being faulty or damaged we refund postage costs up to a maximum of £25. Please contact us if your return exceeds this amount.

I need to return a product under warranty.

In the event of a warranty problem with a product, please inform us at info@wheeliesdirect.co.uk. We can then take the best course of action for you and the particular item. Please note that proof of purchase is required with all potential warranty claims. If you return something due to it being faulty or damaged we refund postage costs up to a maximum of £25. Returning a product under the WEEE Regulations
What do the WEEE regulations mean?

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive is now UK law. The legislation aims to make producers pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electrical equipment. The regulations also mean that suppliers of equipment like high street shops and internet retailers must allow consumers to return their waste equipment.

The amount of WEEE we throw away is increasing by around 5% each year, making it the fastest growing waste stream in the UK.

  • Much of the UK’s WEEE ends up in landfill, where the lead and other toxins it contains can cause soil and water contamination. This can have a harmful effect on natural habitat, wildlife and also human health.
  • Many electrical items that we throw away can be repaired or recycled. Recycling items helps to save our natural finite resources and also reduces the environmental and health risks associated with sending electrical goods to landfill.
Shops selling new Electric and Electronic Equipment (EEE) have a part to play in reducing the amount of WEEE going into landfill sites.

When you buy a new Electrical or Electronic product from us either online or in-store, we will take back your old item on a like-for-like basis. This will prevent it going into a landfill site by being disposed for recycling.

Customers must return their WEEE item to Wheelies within 28 days of purchasing their new item. You can either drop the product off in-store, or send the item, clearly marked as WEEE to Wheelies at:

Disposing of electrical equipment?

There is of course no reason why you can’t drop off your old electrical equipment at a recycling site local to you, whether you have just bought a new item or want to get rid of old equipment regardless.

By taking your waste electrical products to one of the registered amenity sites, you can be confident that they will be subjected to a monitored and controlled recycling process, thereby preventing these products being sent to landfill. You can locate your closest participating collection site by entering your postcode at www.recycle-more.co.uk

How do I recognise WEEE products?

Under the WEEE Regulations, all new electrical goods should now be marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol shown below which will help you identify products as WEEE.

Goods are marked with this symbol to show that they were produced after 13th August 2005, and should be disposed of separately from normal household waste so that they can be recycled.
