Our Cycle Validation and Replacement Division was established in 1992 in response to a demand from several major insurers. Since then we have made continual investments in order to ensure that our validation systems are the most comprehensive and accurate. With details of over 48,000 cycle models sold since the late 1980’s, the database holds information on all cycles that have been available in the UK.

As a truly independent cycle retailer we have developed strong, direct relationships with all major cycle and accessory manufacturers and distributors in the UK. We are able to offer the UK’s widest choice of bikes with a current range of over 140 brands available. This choice of brands is crucial to our success in ensuring that the insurance companies using our service are able to maximise conversion rates and therefore realise the financial and service benefits.

As a recognised Investor In People and ISO9001 accredited company we are committed to ensuring that our management control systems and employees are developed/trained to the highest standard. Wheelies Direct retained both of these awards in 2011. Our insurance claims department currently employs fifty staff. Claims handlers are highly trained and are able to provide expert advice on all aspects of cycling and cycle claims. We are also proud to hold a Positive about the Disabled Award.

Our service standards are the benchmark for the industry. We attempt to contact policyholders within one hour of receiving replacement instructions. Our automated claim validation and customer management systems enable our claims handlers to process claims within minimal time frames. Our extensive stock holding enables Wheelies Direct to fulfil over 80% of all claims directly from stock. We have a dedicated customer care and technical team who are able to provide expert post-sales advice on all aspects of the goods we supply. The expertise of this team also enables us to manage claims for high-end and custom built cycles.

All cycles supplied by Wheelies Direct are fully assembled and pre-checked by CyTech NVQ qualified technicians prior to despatch. This ensures they are built to the highest quality and exceed BS6102 (Parts 1&2). A quality controller undertakes additional checks before the cycle is released for despatch. Wheelies Direct has built up a great deal of credibility both within the insurance industry and the wider business community.
